Takao Saito has started to work at Panasonic IP Management Co., Ltd. ("PIPM"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic, since October 1, 2014. On April 1, 2015, he promoted to be a Chief IP Specialist at Planning Team, Licensing Department of PIPM.

Takao Saito handles as a Japan Patent Attorney all types of transactions of intellectual properties, including any type of licensing, technology transfers, acquisition of intellectual properties, and patent infringement litigation, with his experience of more than 13 years in license activities. He negotiated many complex license agreements, including cross licenses of large patent portfolios in the field of semiconductor devices, mobile handsets, and manufacturing equipment.
 
Takao Saito started his carrier in License Department at IPR Operations Company at Panasonic since 2003. He also worked as a senior coordinator in the IP Asset Management Team of Intellectual Property Strategy Office and License Group of Intellectual Property Center at Panasonic Corporation for more than 3 years with a focus on monetizing patent portfolio, licensing and negotiating in the intellectual property area.  As a Japan patent attorney, Mr. Saito was responsible for patent litigation issues, license negotiations, drafting license agreements, and conducting due diligence for patent assignment agreements.
 
Mr. Takao Saito has also worked as a foreign liaison at Amster, Rothstein & Ebenstein, LLP in New York City, for 2 years, actively participating in patent infringement litigation and patent licensing.
 
Mr. Saito holds an LL.B. from the Law Department of Doshisha University, Japan.  Mr. Saito also participated in a program called the Intellectual Capital Management for Lawyer at Göteborg University, Sweden from 2001 to 2002.
