Professional career in Toyota Central R&D labs. Inc, (TCRDL)
1982-1989: R&D on secondary batteries for SLI (Starting, lighting ignition) and EV.
1989-1990: Initiated PEFC research from scratch.
1991-1994: Allowed to Pursue a Ph.D. degree in Case Western Reserve University
Advisor: Professor E. B. Yeager
Thesis: Electrochemical oxidation of methanol on platinum and platinum based electrodes
1995-present: Leaded the PEFC R&D focusing on electrocatalysis and MEAs by in-house research but also collaboration with material suppliers, universities, and national labs from all over the world.
