An IT professional and permanent resident of Japan with experience of working in Japan since 1988.



Initially focused on localization, internationalization, debugging and porting software for Japanese customers as a Software engineer. Later moving into Internet facing server-side development during the dot-com boom. More recently, experience in Service Management, Solution Delivery in the Insurance Industry and consulting relating to Enterprise Internet Hosting in the Cloud.



Also experience in:
* source code management and quality assurance
* testing of server side and client side applications, gui and we applications
* working in multilingual distributed development software development teams
* Mac OSX and Linux working environments
* Scalability concepts
* learning new programming languages
* extensive software development experience



One of the original generation who read "Extreme Programming" and introduced the process of using Agile methods into the work place.
