I am an active researcher in the field of Additive Manufacturing with expertise in interdisciplinary studies associated with Mechatronics & Robotics. I have been researching in the field of AM for the past 8 years. I have conceptualized, designed and developed 4 different AM systems for the production of polymer, metal and composite (metal/metal, polymer/metal) products. My work has been published in high quality international journals and has been cited numerous times over the years. In 2017, I worked with colleagues and industrial partners for the development, accreditation, and marketing of a new MSc course in Additive Manufacturing that received funded from HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council for England). I worked closely with an external consultant for the development of supplementary material that was made available to students before the start of their studies. I also supervised the marketing campaign and handled all the activities including the development of promotional material and narratives to be put on the university website, gave telephonic interviews to TCT Magazine (https://www.tctmagazine.com/locations/additive-manufacturing-msc-anglia-ruskin/) as well as working with the marketing team to shoot promotional videos demonstrating the use of our AM facilities and describing the course.

I have also been working with the High Commission of Pakistan (London, UK) for the development of a road map to revitalize the manufacturing industry in Pakistan using the principles of additive manufacturing. Based on my profile, I was recognized as a leading expert in the field and was contacted by the Technical Liaison Officer from the High Commission in January 2019. I later held meetings with the First Secretary in February 2019 and was invited to a ‘Gathering of Intellectuals’ in March 2019 but unfortunately could not at
