He started his career as an Elastomer Materials Scientist in a rubber manufactuer, Research and Development Dep, before 1990.
The first result was to create a viscoelastic damping material using TPE and asphalt system, which applied to actual damper for high building in Japan. Japanese Patents were filed and granted.

During R&D stage, he and his boss found a new phenomena which was classified in visco-elastic self-assemble of polymer and oil system. He and coworkers studied it well from both applied scientific and industrial view point. Some peer reviewed papers were published and also patents were globally granted.

Due to those deep understanding of soft matters, he and his colleagues including newly organized marketing, producing, and product design team surveyed applications of those soft materials. Specific features of the material were soft, stretchable, low oil bleeding , low VOC, chemically simple, and TPE. More than 100 applications were challenged, then, some applications were actually mass-produced. At present 2017 a few of those are still producing although it took 20 years since the patents filed.

During such start-up trials to profitable business establishment, he has been working as the only one R&D staff at first, then, he was promoted to a manager of new materials, the general manager of materials developmentof diversified products, and the director of technology in rubber products.

In those R&D activities, he worked with academic professors and also American scientists. His territory has expanded from R&D of thermoplastic soft matter to management of technology development of wide rubbery materials and its manufacture process.

From 2017, he moved to a senior research fellow for a vice president and officer of diversified technology development, and further now he concurrently works as a technical advisor for an executive vice president of new business strategy.
