In my 3 years experience as the Ultrasound Project Management Coordinator for General Electric (GE) Africa, I was responsible for the coordination, manufacturing, shipment and in-country distribution of a 240 million-dollar medical equipment deal under the Kenya Ministry of Health Project – the single largest deal in GE Healthcare history in the region. I was also tasked to manage multiple (30 – 50 per quarter) private customers ($30 - $500 deal value) spread across West, Central and East Africa, thereby, fulfilling customers’ contractual obligations as well as meeting GE’s sales revenue commitments.
During my time at GE Africa, my scope was expanded to manage aged inventory as the Africa Inventory Champion for the diagnostic imaging medical equipment with the end goal of reducing obsolescence risks.
