~3 yrs at Genentech/Roche where I am responsible for risk assessments and implementation of EHS programs for Genentech South San Francisco and Dixon. My responsibilities as Sr. EHS Manager, includes:
Manage a team of 2 HazMat Technicians (and dotted line direct oversight of 22 EHS responders) across 2 large campuses/1000+ employees within California.
Coordinated all aspects of the emergency response team, including training, supplies management and drills
Oversee all environment, health and safety programs and permits to ensure compliance to applicable federal, state, local and corporate regulations
Develop annual and multi‐year EH&S goals and project plans to align with business strategy and objectives.
Establish, implement, track and present key metrics (leading safety and emergencies) to measure performance and drive process improvements
Drive a proactive safety culture through strategic projects such as risk‐assessments, ergonomic risk baselines and a robust responsibility, ownership and behavior safety program
Responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of annual EH&S budget for multiple sites
I assisted in the successful completion of capital projects that yielded huge savings to the EHS organization within 2 years of hire. My supervisor also relied on my ability to apply other useful skills such as PMP, communication, emotional intelligence, policy writing and research skills to be successful in my role.
Delivered EH&S classroom trainings and developed e‐learning modules
Collaborated with cross‐functional teams (engineering, production, process development, Design & Construction, Security) on equipment design reviews, campus safety, line layouts, PPE assessments, chemical approvals, emergency apps on mobile devices, and safety improvements
