Tyler Zanini was previously employed at Helix, from November 2015 to November 2018. Over three years, he held multiple roles across Corporate Development, Strategy, and Business Development. In the Corporate Development function, Tyler was responsible for developing market landscape and competitive analysis for consumer genomics. At the end of 2016, he started the Business Development team at Helix, where his mandate was to establish partnerships with large health systems, clinical reference labs, consumer brands, and existing consumer genomics companies. He has worked with large clinical testing labs, academic medical centers, and research organizations. He joined Helix as employee number 15 - shortly after the company was formed with an initial raise of $100M from Illumina, Warburg Pincus, and Sutter Hill Ventures. Helix went on to have over 200 employees and raise a $200M Series B from existing investors, DFJ, and KCPB. Some of Helix's existing partners include Geisinger, Mayo Clinic, Mt. Sinai, and National Geographic. Prior to Helix, Tyler was in an investing role at HIG Capital, a middle market private equity, where he focused on healthcare.
