ABB’s Transformer Service Product Group was tasked to double the turn-over as well as to increase the profit in five years. My task was to craft and drive the implementation the Product Group's strategy across forty units worldwide. To realize this goal, current capabilities, resources and portfolio of services offerings were assessed to maximize the business potential the specific market/region.
Strategic initiatives were launched, capabilities were strengthened (competencies, operational footprint (organic/inorganic), market presence (capability leveling). The turnover as well as the profit level grew in line with the challenging targets [non-disclosure].
