Supervised and executed planting, pollination and harvesting operations of research plots.
Managed field experiments and led team of 10 graduate students and field technicians at Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research Center, Stuttgart.
Analysed molecular markers data (GBS) utilizing JoinMap, Windows QTL Cartographer and Qgene.
Successfully implemented barcode system on the program to increase efficiency.
Developed new protocols for greenhouse, leaf tissue sampling and DNA extraction.
Identified and corrected progene rows selections by automating the design in Agrobase.





I am an energetic plant scientist passionate for agriculture with an extensive experience in field-based breeding of hybrid and varietal crops, genetic mapping, molecular breeding, plant pathology, trait integration, regulated materials and biotech traits. I have strong leadership skills with active participation in cross-functional teams. My interdisciplinary studies from my M.S./Ph.D. focused in Plant Pathology/Plant Breeding and Genetics from Iowa State University and University of Arkansas, has given me a solid background on different aspects of plant science.

Languages: fluent in Portuguese and English, conversant in Spanish.
