Sung was ranked 51st in "The 75 Best Designers in Tech" by Business Insider in 2013 for the work he had done as a lead designer for Sam's Club shopping app (2013), 7-Eleven.com (2012), Bud Light's first touchscreen site (2009), and Joinred.com (2008).
Then in 2014, he quit – Sung left his full time job to pursue an idea that he believed could fundamentally change the way we build and interact with our digital world for the better.
With just $8K in his bank account, Sung started a company. He sold his car, raised $10K from Kickstarter, worked 120 hrs/wk on contract gigs, and bootstrapped $500K to fund the project.
The project led to creating a paradigm-shifting data organization method called "Organic Information Structure" — it has received global recognitions from FastCompany (2016), Webby (2017), and German Design Awards (2018), and Sung has been sharing his vision for the future of digital experience at SXSW, AIGA, TEDx, Amazon, and other various events.
In the midst of this insane journey, Sung has also helped raise $12M+ for 5 other startups with his UX/UI work.
Sung is now Sr. UX Designer at Amazon.
