Propose and recommend market strategies for Continental. Conduct in-house and courtesy sales calls. Prepare cargo forecast, goals & objectives, analyze problems and determine action plans, assess revenue, projections and statistics reports. Monitor Cebu station agents and accounts. Insure overall quality service of Continental ground handling agent. In-charge of net rates distribution. Monitor account receivables. Approve and disapprove air waybill requests of cargo forwarders. Approve and deny loading of cargo forwarders with bad accounts. Coordinate and cooperate with Federal government airport activities. Approve and disapprove petty cash expenditures. Submit reports needed by the Cargo Manager. Prepare & ensure compliance of ICAO/IATA and FAA standards for government inspections. Represent Cargo Manager in meetings and seminars. Coordinate department activities with Continental's headquarters at Houston and regional offices at Guam and Hongkong. Coordinate with Pricing Analysts, Cargo Director Pacific, ULD Analysts, Cargo Claims/loss Prevention, Information Systems Specialists, Cargo Control Center and Interline. In-charge of overall cargo operations: responsible for proper routing and handling of shipments from origin to destination. Monitor and accounts for all ULDs. In-charge of requisition of company supplies. Appraise personnel performance. Recommend personnel actions as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures. Study production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. In-charge of personnel training and ground security procedure compliance. Officer-in-charge in the absence of the Cargo Manager.
