I’m a globally experienced CFO/finance and strategy leader that has lived and worked on 5 continents. Because of my operational finance experience with Ford Motor Company I'm able to work across functions to improve results.



My finance experience includes being CFO of Ford South Africa and Ford Argentina. While I was in South Africa profits grew by $35 million to $40 million annually. Similarly, in Argentina profits grew more than 2x to $145 million while I was there. In these positions, I was also able to drive strategy changes that resulted in long-term profitable growth.



As Global Controller, Programs I had responsibility for analysis, control and reporting for all vehicle development programs. In this position we standardized cost target development, control and reporting processes. We also streamlined analysis/reports to make them more meaningful to the operating team while reducing Finance workload. This resulted in an improvement in vehicle programs achieving cost, investment and profit objectives.



As part of the Treasury team at Ford I had responsibility for automotive business issues for all regions outside the US. My team identified funding requirements, how best to fulfill them, and developed actions to repatriate $16 billion in cash. We also obtained management alignment to allocate capital to fund actions we implemented to reduce auto. debt from $33 bil YE 2009 to $19 bil YE 2010.



My Business Strategy experience includes responsibility for Asia Pacific regional automotive and new Mobility strategy and initiatives. We made decisions to exit markets (Japan & Indonesia) and eliminated product offerings while also developing market growth plans.



In Asia, I also had responsibility for joint ventures with Chinese partners and Mazda; the largest single negotiation was the agreement to locally manufacture Lincolns with our Chinese partner.
