CEO, Indian Super League


CEO of the Indian Super League and launched the league in India. Worked as part of the Chairman's Office at Reliance Industries and with Mrs. Nita Ambani, who is the Chairperson of the League. The league has caught the imagination of not only the Indian audiences, but also International football. As CEO, had to manage the League organisation as well as provide support to the 8 teams that participated in the league. A very different exposure and one that really required adaptability of a different order, leading a team that comprised of young sports enthusiasts and supporting clubs that were owned by industrialists, sportsmen and film personalities. The end result was the creation of a league 2nd only to IPL in India
• 10th most attended Sports tournament in the World
• 4th most attended Football tournament in the World
Responsibilities included commercial responsibility for all football in India (including I-league, Federations cup etc.) and overall responsibility for Brand, Sponsorships, Venue and Match Operations, Player management, Stadia and Pitch management, League and participation rules, and Grassroots development.
