I started my career in Athens in various brand marketing roles for 5 years working for Athenian Brewery (Heineken Greece), a strong market leader with market share >70%. As part of my roles I got exposed to Albania, international trade fairs, became an expert in innovations and managed the Heineken brand which is the cornerstone of the profitability of Athenian Brewery with >20% market share.
I continued my career as an expatriate in Bucharest for 3 years working for Heineken Romania which was a strong no2 on the way to become no1 player as it eventually did. I was managing the portfolio of international brands with two subordinates, achieving equity and value share leadership in the international premium segment for the Heineken brand. As part of my extended role I also managed media for the dpt during the last year of my assignment.
I then moved as Marketing Manager Premium Brands in Moscow, Heineken Russia, one of the most sizeable operating companies of Heineken (8 breweries, 6000+ direct/indirect employees) and a global ‘must win battle’ managing the cornerstone of the company’s strategy with a team of 10 subordinates and 10 brands. Launched 4 brands and 5 line extensions, as well as developed extensive packaging innovation.
