How can we unify different types of biomedical information to create insightful knowledge and hypotheses for facilitating drug discovery processes? I work as a data scientist specialized for the biomedical domain and address key pharmaceutical questions by combining skills in computer science and statistics with experiences in disease biology. My experiences range from basic biology to clinical drug development, such as target identification, portfolio prioritization, translational and personalized medicine. Data-driven hypotheses feed into collaborations with wet lab biologists and clinicians, and together we verify and refine the predictions to contribute to better healthcare programs.
